Julia is a psychologist specialising in child and adolescent issues. She has over 20 years clinical experience working with individuals and families. Her areas of interest and expertise include:

Julia utilises a range of therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), interpersonal psychotherapy, solution focused brief therapy, family therapy, art and play therapy. She has provided training within hospital, corporate, school and community settings in the areas of stress management, managing depression and anxiety, suicide prevention and parenting skills.

Julia maintains a private practice, with offices at Cottesloe and Mount Lawley. She is also contracted to provide psychological services by the Division of GPs through the Mindcare Program. Prior to private practice Julia worked as a psychologist at an adolescent mental health service with adolescents and their families experiencing early signs of depression, self-harm and suicidal ideation. She has also worked within a number of community and hospital based settings counselling adults and children in the areas of depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting, stress management, bereavement, chronic and terminal illness (cancer).

A GP referral is not required however you can check with your GP to see if you may be eligible for a Medicare Rebate. Please check with your Private Health Fund as some health fund rebates also apply.
